Imprint Holiday Movie Picks
Our team picks for your holiday season!

While swapping holiday movie recommendations amongst ourselves, we looked around and said — why aren’t we sharing this with the world? Our criterion for the list was simple: What’s your favorite movie to watch this time of year, holiday-themed or otherwise?

With the stage set, we wish you the very best in 2024 — and some cozy film-watching in the meantime:

Harry Potter (series)

“Fun-filled family viewing. Usually accompanied by seeing something new that we didn’t see the other 10 times that we’ve watched.” – Ashley Brenner, Creative Director

The Big Lebowski

“The Big Lewbowski has oddly become a holiday tradition that I share with my sister. Even though we live states away, around this time of year we’ll watch ‘The Big Lebowski’ with a white russian in hand and send a pic of it to each other.” – Jenna Gardner, Director

James Bond (series)

“It’s got be Bond. Any James Bond. Preferably one with Sean Connery.” – Duncan Milne, Managing Director

Love Actually

“It’s more of just a fun, heart-filled movie set during the holidays. What a killer cast! It’s a bit schmaltzy, but isn’t that a thread across most holiday movies?” – Andy Seibert, Managing Partner

The Holiday

“’The Holiday’ (to watch on my own or with friends) and ‘Home Alone’ (to watch with my son). ‘The Holiday’ has just enough of a holiday feel but is also a cute love story. ‘Home Alone’ is a classic that never gets old.” – Julissa Ortiz, Director

Goodfellas

“I love the Christmas party scene in Goodfellas. Like many a family holiday party, things go a little sour, but all ends well when De Niro gives Ray Liotta his big Christmas bonus. After all, it is the giving season.” – Nelson Peña, Senior Copywriter

How the Grinch Stole Christmas

“For as long as I can remember, my family has watched the original 1966 version of this Dr. Seuss classic every Christmas Eve.” – Kim Papa Amadeo, Editorial Director

Elf

“Both ‘Elf’ and ‘Home Alone’ are regular viewing traditions in our house. Peter Dinklage as the cranky children’s book author in a pre-GoT role is an ‘Elf’ highlight. And the kid delivering the pizza who goes from blasé to terrified in 3 seconds thanks to Kevin’s clever use of old movie clips makes me laugh out loud every time.” – Meg Sullivan, Managing Director

The Family Stone

“This has become a new fav in recent years. I’ve always loved movies about big families, and watching all of the dynamics play out. I also love the house in this movie, it seems like the perfect place to spend the holidays (minus all of the family drama!)” – Molly Malinowski, Director

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

“My family would watch this together each year. It’s just such a funny movie!” – Peter Gallagher, Director of Finance

Home Alone

“’Home Alone’ for a good laugh, and ‘The Family Stone’ for a good cry. Also, both feature quintessential holiday houses as their settings.” – Ryan Mohland, Associate Director

A Charlie Brown Christmas

“This has been my holiday classic for many years. I love the vintage quality of this cartoon. The music is also amazing — it’s the perfect blend of classic holiday music and jazz!” – Lisanne Gagnon, Art Director

The Muppet Christmas Carol

“It’s a charming, family-friendly adaption of Dickens’ classic. Michael Cain bickering with Statler and Waldorf (who play a saucy Marley brothers) never gets old.” – Colter Hettich, Managing Editor
