While tablets sale may no longer be generating headlines, new researhc shows that marketers (especially BtoB) need to still pay close attention to how their content is displayed on this device.

 

While the tablet market has plateaued, usage is expected to continue to grow, with company-owned tablets escalating at a much faster rate than the overall market, according to a new report from Forrester Research. The report, Global Tablet Forecast 2015 To 2018: Despite Market Volatility, Tablets Are Big In Business, forecasts 682.28 million people will be using tablets worldwide by 2016 and 781.62 million by 2018.

Worldwide device shipments will reach 2.5 billion in 2015, up 1.5 percent on last year, according to research from analysts Gartner. The modest growth comes thanks to rising mobile phone shipments, which is the biggest category of devices and the only one showing growth, the research found.
